Halcyon Logistics Cuts Reporting Cycles Across 28 Depots
Outcome: Quarterly close reduced from 18 days to 6
The problem
Halcyon Logistics ran carbon reporting out of regional spreadsheets maintained by depot managers. Central sustainability staff spent most of each quarter chasing missing utility invoices and reconciling conflicting totals before board disclosure.
What we did
We deployed Ordinant Carbon Solutions as a shared intake layer for all depot utility and fleet fuel data. Depot leads uploaded evidence against a fixed checklist; regional controllers reviewed submissions before corporate approval.
- 28 depots moved onto one submission calendar
- Automated reminders replaced weekly email follow-ups
- Corporate retained final sign-off without owning data entry
Results
Halcyon closed its first full reporting cycle in six days. Depot-level ownership stuck, and the sustainability team shifted time from collection to analysis.
